A magical connection - a reunion of strangers sparks a vibrant, electric, fantastical world of adventure, celebration and freedom. Inspired by a journey through a night market full of diverse people and rich of sensory experiences, NIGHT MARKET is a dance film set on the diegesis of Hong Kong and choreographed to Disco Yip from the album Mandarin Energy by Midnight Runners, a group of artists based in Bandung, Indonesia creating music sampled from 70/80s Asian disco.

Embracing all the shared and collective human experiences that form parts of our own identity, NIGHT MARKET explores culture as a nebulous, amorphous, undefinable collection of memories, stories and experiences that is constantly in flux.
